The Caretakers (1963)

File:The Caretakers (1963 movie poster).jpg
A woman has a nervous breakdown, which sends her to the local insane asylum for treatment. Dr. Donovan MacLeod and nurse Lucretia Terry argue over the treatment of patients.

Psychiatrist Dr. Donovan MacLeod is trying to prove that group therapy actually helps mental patients. However, head nurse Lucretia Terry does not sit well with his theory, and prefers straitjackets and padded cells.
Overall Review
My Rating: C-
Joan Crawford as Lucretia Terry (center)
The beginning of this movie was entertaining - a woman suddenly having a nervous breakdown inside of a theater, screaming in front of the screen. The rest of this movie's entertainment goes downhill like the woman's sanity. Unless you want to see a 50 year old Joan Crawford in a leotard (pictured right) teaching fellow nurses Judo, stay away from this.
